Jiulongkau (in simplified Chinese九龙沟) is located in the northwest mountain town of San-lang, 38 kilometers away from Chongzhou city, 76 kilometers away from Chengdu. Jiulongkau covers an area of one hundred and seventy-five square kilometers, one of around 32 squar kilometers area. Jiulongkau was famous for the myth that it has “9 ditch, 9 slot, and 9 dragon” and therefore it was named after the myths and legends. Scenic formations of Jiulongkau was mainly by water films, big films and King Xishan forest temple is composed of three parts to the dynamic water Jiulongkau the most spectacular landscape stone.

Jiulongkau was located at the mouth of Longmen Mountains before the fracture zone above the geological structure is complicated, and the mountains was located at an altitude of 700 meters to 3868 meters between the ups and downs, their relatively large disparity in elevation, steep cliffs, many turbulent waterfall stack. When the weather was good, the place would be very beautiful. Scenic temple hidden in the forests of the magnificent ancient temples, the mountains are in Chengdu well preserved than the larger temple. Great Western Hills has forest habitat of giant panda, golden monkey, wildebeest and other rare animals.
Jiulongkau is a very beautiful place and you could try to visit there if you have a chance to go to Chengdu. However, if you are not used to climbing up the mountains, you might not be enjoyed by this mountain.
